Solong hits Stena Immaculate
A US-flagged oil tanker (Stena Immaculate) collided with a container/cargo ship off the Yorkshire coast in the North Sea on March 10, 2025. The collision caused a fire, with 32 casualties rescued and one crew member reported missing. The captain of the cargo ship, a Russian national, was arrested and charged with manslaughter and gross negligence. Environmental concerns were raised about potential pollution from the tanker.
